PAGB APM Leaflet for Audio Visual:
Badge (BPAGB)
White badge and certificate Standard – approaching Good Club photography.
Credit (CPAGB)
Blue badge and certificate Standard – Good Club photography.
Distinction (DPAGB)
Red badge and certificate Standard – Open Exhibition Photography.
Excellence (EPAGB)
Red badge and certificate Standard – good enough to achieve a high level of acceptance in Open Exhibitions
Master (MPAGB)
Gold badge and certificate Standard – Highest Standard of UK Amateur Photography.
They are held for life without any annual fee and holders are entitled to use the designated letters after their name.
All applicants must qualify in accordance with their Federation’s criteria as an active member of an affiliated club. This support must have been given for a min of 2 years for CPAGB 3 years for DPAGB 5 years for MPAGB from current active photographers.
A retrospective period of 10 years may be considered. Applicants for MPAGB must have held DPAGB for at least 11 months on the date of application.
The awards are open to all members of clubs affiliated with the MCPF. It is suggested that before an application is made any applicant should check out the information leaflets available on the PAGB website:
All applicants must pre-qualify according to the Midland Counties Photographic Federation criteria which are described in the leaflet MCPF information:
The adjudications are held twice a year in April and November and are hosted by one of the 15 federations. The venue is to be decided nearer the adjudication date.
Applications are a 3 step process:
Contact the awards Secretary for an MCPF application form,
Complete the form and send it to the MCPF Distinctions secretary.
DO NOT send any money with this form.
Once the criteria have been verified the form will be signed and returned to you along with the PAGB application form.
Send the PAGB Application form to the PAGB awards officer with the appropriate distinction fee.
Applicants are admitted on a "first come, first served" basis.
