Founded in 1907 the MCPF consists of over 100 clubs and covers the Midland counties, Staffordshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Worcestershire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, and North Gloucestershire.
The MCPF is one of the 15 regional Federations of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. It exists for its members and is run by its members.
The MCPF actively seeks to support and connect individual photographers and their clubs across the West Midlands. We promote the highest possible standards of photography through seminars, workshops, events, friendly competitions, and access to national and international distinctions and events.

The chief aim of the Federation is to assist Clubs/Societies to provide an adequate programme of interest and instruction for their members through the judges and lecturers. Members of Council are willing to help in any way possible when invited to do so.

Before each General Meeting, Societies are circulated with all relevant information and occasionally there are extra mailings.
The Photographic Alliance of Great Britain recognize the importance of protecting both member clubs, officers and committee members from personal liability for any loss arising from claims. It has negotiated through its broker suitable insurance policies for itself, Federations and Affiliated Clubs as separate policyholders. These include Public & Products Liability, Management Protection and All-Risks.

The PAGB are currently looking at enabling Clubs to book Judges and Lecturers via an on-line system, when goes live all MCPF will be notified.
